Little Lake Theatre’s second annual Play-in-a-Day Event is one day only, Saturday, September 20, 2025, featuring six brand-new plays, all created in just 24 hours. On Friday night, September 19, more than 50 playwrights, directors and actors gather at Little Lake, “to craft fresh short plays. Previews of the bilingual, bicultural premiere Another Kind of Silence get underway at City Theatre on September 20 at 5:30 p.m., and September 21 at 7:30 p.m., with RAD Pay-What-You-Want performances. Kicking off fall the following week is the sixth year of Evil Dead the Musical by Pittsburgh Musical Theater. There’s a whole lot of construction going on inside, but outside 327 South Main Street, under the West End Canopy, there’s bloody, bloody music and mayhem, September 26-October 25, 2025. Alongside its upcoming full production of La Bohème, Pittsburgh Opera is offering three free events in late September, each designed as an accessible introduction to opera singing:

Looking ahead to October, Pittsburgh Opera’s 70th annual Diamond Horseshoe Celebration transforms into a Diamond Diva Disco on Saturday, October 11 at the Bitz Opera Factory. Expect high-energy classics from DJs Hoagie Dreams (Jarrett Tebbets) and Gordy G of TITLETOWN, bites from local favorites PGH Dumplingz and Taqueria Acosta, plus sparkling interactive dessert stations from Bella Christie.
Founded in 1995 with just a few props and a daring vision, Attack Theatre marks three decades of fearless, collaborative, deeply human dance this season.
From stairwells and bridges to concert halls and classrooms, Attack has told stories through movement across Pittsburgh and the globe. Their 30th Anniversary Season will celebrate a legacy of creativity, community, and artistic risk-taking.
