This past weekend marked the Inagural Pittsburgh Fringe Festival. With acts including movement, monologues, singing, dancing and improvisation, companies from around the country and from our neck of the woods put on shows from May 9th to the 11th. We, The Pittsburgh Stage, know some of you were expecting a podcast about all of the shows and our experiences but that simply didn’t work out, our sincerest apologies.
The Pittsburgh Stage was selected by the Pittsburgh Fringe Festival to choose the winners of the festival. After careful thought, deliberation, and some minor confusion, here are our selections…
- Best Actor
Conor O’Brien – The Darling Core (The Vintage Theater – Scranton, PA)
- Best Actress
Robin Beruh – Hell With the Lid Taken Off (Thoreau, NM – Pittsburgh, PA)
- Best Ensemble
Truth Dare Double Dare Kiss Love or Torture (Panglossian Productions – Williamsburg, VA)
- Best Show
Serotonin Syndrome (Serotonin Syndrome Productions – Lansing, MI)
Stay tuned for the rest of The Pittburgh Stage’s writers’ reviews and articles, due to pop up this week.
