Guests will enter through the historic grand portico of The Pennsylvanian into a breathtaking scene filled with lush, vibrant greens and the trickle of fountains. Here you can explore the plaza and find a cozy spot to meet up with friends and new acquaintances. The Trust promises “the finest in unforgettable entertainment along with a decadent strolling culinary experience.”
Initially constructed in 1900 for use as Pittsburgh’s Union Station, The Pennsylvanian is considered one of the city’s most architecturally significant buildings. Art critic Brendan Gill (The New Yorker) proclaimed The Pennsylvanian “one of the great pieces of Beaux-Arts architecture in America.”
This inaugural fundraiser will support the Cultural Trust’s programming and ongoing development of the Cultural District. Using the arts as an economic catalyst, the Trust has overseen one of our city’s most historic transformations: turning a seedy red-light district into a magnet destination for art lovers, residents, visitors, and business owners.
LUXE Creative and REED Dance are curating the evening’s entertainment, which will include roving music, a charcoal painter, and living statues.
