Quantum Theatre, who presents in non-traditional performance spaces, has found a home for it’s next production, Plano, at Bakery Square
Follow the arrow for the final show of Quantum’s 30th Anniversary Season, Will Arbery‘s Plano, in Bakery Square for an April run. Free onsite parking and great new restaurants, täkō tôrtä, Alta Via Pizzeria, and The Galley, can be part of your experience, with spacious, indoor/outdoor, seating! Check Quantum’s social media pages to see how their design artists transform a maker space, the former TechShop, to the porch of a really strange family in Texas.
Directed by Adil Mansoor (Chickens in the Yard and The River). Plano follows three sisters and the men who (maybe?) try not to suffocate them in a place close, but not quite in Plano, Texas – a sly reference to Chekhov’s Three Sisters. Subversive and at times surreal, Plano is a hilarious critique of many things we hold dear … to our peril.
Starring Lisa Velten Smith, Julianne Avolio, and Moira Quigley as the three sisters, joined by Cary Anne Spear, Tim McGeever, Jerreme Rodriguez, and Taylor Knight. Design team includes Stephanie Mayer-Staley, Rachel Vallozzi, Xotchil Musser, Aaron Landgraf, Cat Wilson, and Randy Kovitz.
Plano runs April 1 – 24 and single tickets are now on sale. Quantum will continue to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all attendees, as well as masks when levels of community transmission are high.
