The Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University has unveiled the Inside/Outside Summer Series lineup and more than 30 performances for the 2022-23 season.

The Summer Series features local entertainers, including MCG Jazz, Chatham Baroque, 1Hood Media, the Pillow Project, Shanna Simmons Dance, and Slowdanger. Among the highlights of the Conservatory and Presenting Series are works of Stephen Sondheim and Rodgers and Hammerstein, while the Conservatory Dance Company will present six concerts throughout the academic year.

The second season of Playhouse Presents is focused on Shaping the Arts: Black Femme Artists and Creators, presenting trailblazers whose messages are unity and creativity.
The Playhouse continues to host National Theatre Live, an initiative of London’s Royal National Theatre, which broadcasts live-via-satellite performances worldwide and is the new Pittsburgh home of the National Geographic Live Speaker Series, presented in partnership with Point Park’s Center for Media Innovation.
The Media Innovators Speaker Series, sponsored by the Center for Media Innovation, welcomes media changemakers and leaders in the field who have made significant contributions to journalism, storytelling, and free expression. The series will present international activist and pop star Mai Khoi — known as the Lady Gaga of Vietnam — in her original multimedia musical show “Bad Activist” and Wall Street Journal columnist Jason Riley.
