Stephen Sondheim‘s Tony-winning one-act chamber opera, Passion, is the debut offering with three performances starting this Friday, the 26th, and Saturday, the 27th, at 8 pm, with a matinee on Sunday the 28th at 2 pm.
Update
Unfortunately a member of the production tested positive for Covid-19. Because of this, Friday’s performance (8/26) was been postponed to allow for all company members to get tested. As of 11:00am Saturday no announcement has been made reregarding the remaing performances.

Passion revolves around Giorgio, a handsome Italian soldier separated from his beautiful mistress. He becomes the target of the obsessive love of Fosca, his Colonel’s chronically ill cousin, forcing him to re-evaluate his beliefs about the nature of love and attraction between two people.
Spearheaded by a cast and crew of local theater stalwarts, CMU students and alumni, Mr. Smalls Theatricals will present this fully staged production at Mr. Smalls Theater in Millvale, a converted 19th century church 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. This show is a not-for-profit production intended to gauge community interest in the potential for live theater in Millvale.
Other details of the production are scarce as of this writing.
