The production will be the first PMT show presented at the Byham since 2020.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid takes audiences on a magical journey beneath the sea and the world above. Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder, the fish, Scuttle, the seagull, and Sebastian, the crab, to restore order under the sea.
With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Part of Your World.”
This production showcases the “collaboration between PMT Conservatory students and the CAPA Orchestra in this special Young Artist Production. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Byham Theater as part of our 22/23 “Oh What a Season.” said PMT Executive Director, Colleen Doyno.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th and 2 p.m. on November 5th and 6th. The show is recommended for ages three and up. Tickets at: https://pmt.culturaldistrict.org/production/83383/disneys-the-little-mermaid
