We’ve all heard the expression “to walk in someone else’s shoes,” which is the ability to understand another’s point of view. Attack Theatre’s latest production, the “Solo Shoe Show,” aims at doing just that.

The featured choreographers include those who self-identify as part of the disability community, as emerging professionals, as students, as late-career professionals, as active teaching artists, and/ or from marginalized communities. The program highlights the individual’s point of view yet bears witness to the concept of walking in another’s shoes.
The creative process is built to be individual and collaborative. Choreographers will look at the same photos and then break off and create unique pieces to show how we create together and how one’s perspectives shape what we create.
Not only will “Solo Shoe Show” be a performance, but it will also be a subtly educational experience where an audience can together, safely see and hear different perspectives and how we all may intake the same thing, but the outcomes can be entirely different to paint a collective story.
Attack Theatre’s SoloShoeShow has performances on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 pm. and on Sunday, April 23, at 3:00 pm. at Attack Theatre Studios, 212 45th Street,
