The masterful wordsmithing of 18th-century Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni shines in the comedy The Servant of Two Masters (Il Servitore di Due Padroni) opening July 14th.

The Pittsburgh Savoyards kick off their 86th season with the antics of Truffaldino Battocchio from Bergamo as he attempts to get extra servings at every meal by earning wages as the assistant of two different employers, neither knowing about the other.
Can he keep his secret safe while being an attentive and effective servant to two people who have busy schedules? And what if he isn’t the only one keeping a secret?
The Servant of Two Masters is a charming comedy that moves fast and keeps audiences engaged as the characters navigate a series of revelations and obstacles, hoping that love will win and stomachs will be filled.
Director Andy Kirtland, Artistic Director at The New Renaissance Theatre Company, has assembled a cast including Todd Foose as Truffaldino Battochio, Wendy Parko as Beatrice Rasponi, and Matt Henderson as Florindo Aretusi. You can ee the complete cast and creatives list here.
