Two Local Playwrights Highlight Week Three of the Pittsburgh New Works Festival 

Local companies to produce world premieres of three one-act plays,  September 7th to 11th

Audiences will meet an aging superhero in Up and Away, by Thomas Andrews of Pittsburgh, produced by Stray Cat Theatre Company. Next, they will follow a couple from their first date through a long relationship in The Ferris Wheel,” by D. Lee Miller of Rego Park, N.Y., produced by The Bobcat Players. Finally, they will see Galileo square off with the Pope in Still It Moves, by Jeff DeSantis of Beaver, Pa., produced by R-ACT Theatre Productions.

Performances are in the Genesius Theater at Duquesne University. 

Tickets for each performance cost $17 in advance, $20 at the door, and $15 for students, reflecting the Festival’s mission to make theater accessible to diverse audiences.
