Little Lake Theatre Reveals 10-Show 2024 Season

Plus Stage 62 Announces a four show season AND a new theater company is announced.

Little Lake Theatre had doubly good news to shout about this week: Along with the run of 2023 holiday-offering White Christmas being sold out, the Washington County community theater has revealed the lineup for its 76th season.

At an announcement event on Tuesday, November 21, Little Lake artistic director Patrick Cannon and managing director Patti Knapp announced a 10-play, 2024 season. With the theme “Escape to the Lake,” the schedule includes musicals, adult dramas, kid-friendly fare, holiday cheer and more.

STAGE 62 ANNOUNCES 62nd SEASON

Stage 62, found in 1962, turns 62 next year, when it will be back with four shows announced on Wednesday, November 22. The lineup revealed, with dates TBA, is:

  • Children’s Show: Garfield the Musical with Cattitude
  • Spring: You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown
  • Summer: RENT
  • Fall: Rodger’s & Hammerstein’s Cinderella

ELSEWHERE …

A new Pittsburgh theatre company was introduced at a launch party this week in Carnegie, and is in the process of fundraising to launch productions.

The mission of ELSEWHERE Theatre Company is “is to create theatrical productions by and for people who are passionate about the art of theatre, through creating and fostering an environment where artists are able to express themselves unapologetically. Therefore abolishing preconceived notions of what theatre is, and shifting the perspective of what theatre can be.”

The creative team comprises Tucker Topel as artistic director, Amber Leitsch as executive director, Forrest Trimble as production designer, Michael Campayno as director of performance, Carly Trimble-Long as technical director, Emmy Stevens as company director and Maddie Jones as library director.
