It’s ‘The King’ Meets ‘The Bard’ In this 2005 Broadway Jukebox Musical with music from the Elvis Presley songbook and a book by Joe DiPietro, opening on September 13th, 2024, at the Strand Theater in Zelinople.

All Shook Up takes place in an unnamed American town in the 1950s. Repressed residents experience an awakening when a leather-clad guitar-strumming roustabout rolls into town. The musical’s book is inspired by the comedies of William Shakespeare, particularly Twelfth Night.

The Strand’s production is directed by the theater’s new Producing Artistic Director, Jeremy Czarniak. Regina Kettering, Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s Artist/Music Director in Residence, is the show’s Music Director. 

The Strand is known for the talent it brings to the stage for its live productions. All Shook Up! features performers with credits from international venues, Broadway, and the region.

Founded in 2001, The Strand Theater Initiative is a non-profit charged with reviving Zelienople’s old Strand Theater as a cultural, education, and community outreach center. Since its reopening, The Strand has presented a wide variety of theater, concert, and film programming.

The Strand Theater’s production of All Shook Up! has performances on Friday and & Saturday, September 13, 14 & 20, and 21 at  7:30 pm, with Sunday Matinees on the 15th and 22nd at 2:00 pm: Bargain Nite, Thursday the 19th at 7:00 pm with $10 off all seats.
