Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Honors Icons: Carol Brown, Teresa Heinz, Thaddeus Mosley

The inaugural Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Icon Awards will be presented to Carol R. Brown, the Trust’s first president and CEO, philanthropist Teresa Heinz and sculptor Thaddeus Mosley, at The Big 40 Gala on Saturday, September 7, at the Benedum Center.

Carol R. Brown will be honored with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Icon Award for Outstanding Leadership.

Brown will be recognized for her Outstanding Leadership; Heinz, for Outstanding Community Impact; and Mosley, for Outstanding Artistic Contributions.

Icon Award honoree Thaddeus Mosley has a public art exhibition in the Pittsburgh Cultural District.

The intersection of 8th Street and Penn Avenue in the Pittsburgh Cultural District is home to a solo exhibition of four monumental bronze sculptures by Pittsburgh-based artist and New Castle native Mosley. Learn more about the new public art exhibition at TrustArts.org/VisualArts.

The Trust will recognize Heinz “for her exceptional philanthropic efforts in supporting the arts and fostering cultural enrichment. As chairperson of the Heinz Family Foundation and Chair Emeritus of The Heinz Endowments, she has played a pivotal role in funding arts initiatives and organizations that promote diversity, innovation, and community engagement.”
