Little Lake Theatre Announces Their 76th Season, Adventure Awaits for 2025, and a New Lakepass Ticketing Program

Little Lake Theatre, a fixture of the Pittsburgh community theater scene, has announced its 2025 season, titled Adventure Awaits, along with the launch of The Lakepass, a new ticketing program designed to provide flexibility, value, and convenience for theater lovers. 2025 Season Highlights: Adventure Awaits!

With a theme of adventure and exploration, the 2025 season lineup offers an array of stories—from musicals and family favorites to classic mysteries and comedies. Each show is filled with unforgettable moments and stories that will stay with you long after the curtain falls.

Adventure Awaits includes the following shows:

9 to 5 The Musical  Book by Patricia Resnick , Music and Lyrics by Dolly Parton , Performance Dates: April 17 – May 4 

Get ready for a rollicking good time with 9 to 5 The Musical, the first show of the 2025 season! Based on the hit movie and featuring Dolly Parton’s unforgettable score, this high-energy musical tells the story of three dynamic women who turn the tables on their tyrannical boss. Set in the late 1970s, this witty tale is filled with heart, humor, and a touch of rebellion. With catchy songs, dynamic choreography, and plenty of laughs, 9 to 5 The Musical is a must-see.

The Da Vinci Code, Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, Original Novel by Dan Brown, Performance Dates: May 15 – June 1 

Unlock the secrets of one of the greatest mysteries ever told with The Da Vinci Code. Barefoot in the Park By Neil Simon, Performance Dates: June 12 – June 29 

Fall in love again with Neil Simon’s timeless romantic comedy, Barefoot in the Park. Come along for this heartwarming tale of newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter, who navigate the ups and downs of married life in a tiny, quirky New York City apartment. With Corie’s free-spirited nature clashing with Paul’s button-up demeanor, hilarity ensues as they learn the art of compromise and the beauty of living life to the fullest. Finding Nemo Jr. Book, Music, and Lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, and Ellen Fitzhugh, Performance Dates: July 10 – July 20 

Dive into a magical underwater adventure with Finding Nemo Jr. and join Marlin on his epic quest to find his son, Nemo. The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition Book by Kyle Jarrow, Songs by Various Artists, Performance Dates: July 31 – August 10 

Prepare for a tidal wave of fun with The Spongebob Musical! Dive into the zany world of Bikini Bottom as SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Sandy, and all their friends embark on a hilarious and heroic adventure to save their underwater city from impending disaster. With catchy songs, vibrant characters, and plenty of laughs, this musical is perfect for audiences of all ages!              

Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express  Adapted by Ken Ludwig, Original Novel by Agatha Christie, Performance Dates: August 28 – September 14 

All aboard for a thrilling journey of suspense and intrigue! Join us for Agatha Christie’s classic mystery Murder on the Orient Express. When a snowstorm halts the legendary train in its tracks, the luxurious journey quickly turns into a chilling murder investigation. Renowned detective Hercule Poirot must sift through a web of secrets and lies to uncover the killer hidden among the passengers. This gripping whodunit will keep you on the edge of your seat. Reefer Madness  Book by Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney, Music by Dan Studney, Lyrics by Kevin Murphy, Performance Dates: October 2 – October 19, Recommended for ages 18+

Get ready for a wild ride with Reefer Madness, the outrageous musical satire that lights up our 2025 season! Inspired by the 1936 cult classic film, this hilarious show takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria surrounding marijuana use in the early 20th century. Follow the story of clean-cut kids Jimmy and Mary as they fall prey to the wiles of the sinister drug and spiral into a world of jazz, debauchery, and hilarity. With catchy songs, over-the-top characters, and laugh-out-loud moments, Reefer Madness is a side-splitting, high-energy romp that will leave you rolling in the aisles. Take advantage of this irreverent and entertaining musical at the Lake.

Calendar Girls, Written by Tim Firth, Performance Dates: October 30 – November 16 

Brighten up your year with Calendar Girls. Based on a true story, this delightful comedy follows a group of extraordinary women from a small English village who decide to raise money for charity by creating a calendar—posing in the nude! With courage, camaraderie, and a touch of cheekiness, these women defy expectations and inspire their entire community. Calendar Girls is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and the power of ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things.

The holiday production in December will be announced at a later date. Performance Dates: December 4 – December 21

Introducing The Lakepass: Choose Your Own Adventure

Little Lake Theatre’s new Lakepass program is a redesigned version of our subscription program with a fresh name and added perks, providing audiences with flexibility and choice in how they enjoy the 2025 season. With four different pass options—4, 6, 8, or 10 tickets—The Lakepass lets patrons attend shows on their terms, choosing any combination of performances throughout the season. This new offering is designed to make theater accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for everyone.

Lakepass holders enjoy:

  • Reserved seating for all selected shows
  • Best prices on tickets, with free exchanges within a show’s run
  • Early access to single tickets and additional discounts
  • Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages at each performance

To further enhance family-friendly access, Little Lake is also introducing youth pricing exclusively for Lakepass holders, offering discounted tickets at just $12 for younger theatergoers.
