Enjoy Christmas classics and popular favorites, and even sing along to some of the best-loved traditional carols with the PCC at three different venues between December 6 – 8, 2024.
This year’s Pittsburgh Concert Chorale’s Sounds of the Season concert features chorus, brass, and percussion music. The instrumentalists are professional musicians who perform in various ensembles in the Pittsburgh area, including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, and Wheeling Symphony.
Featured music includes John Rutter’s jubilant Gloria, mesmerizing settings of familiar carols, classic Christmas favorites, some lively seasonal tunes, and a few surprises. The audience will also participate in the concerts, as they will be invited to join the singers of the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale in some of their favorite carols.
“The Sounds of the Season concerts are always such special events for our audiences and PCC. This music is sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Join us for a concert of music that you’ll be singing the whole way home!”
“We are thrilled that 50% of the ticket sales from our Friday, December 6, concert at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will be donated to Trinity’s homeless outreach,” says Susan Medley, PCC Music Director.
