Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council Bestows Grants Through PA’s Creative Sector Flex Fund

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council has awarded 36 Southwestern Pennsylvania organization a total of $180,000 to support arts and culture work and programming as part of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ Creative Sector Flex Fund grant program.

The grant program provides $5,000 grants to organizations in Allegheny, Beaver, Greene and Washington counties, with average annual revenues between $10,000 – $200,000.

Grantees include Pittsburgh’s first Asian American & Pacific Island (AAPI) artist collective, a hip-hop orchestra inspiring and nurturing the curiosity of youth, a dance troupe preserving Indian classical dance styles, a one-of-a-kind global music festival, and more.

“The Creative Sector Flex Fund provides crucial support for organizations providing artistic programming throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania,” says Mona Wiley, Grantmaking Manager at the Arts Council. “These organizations play a vital role in our communities, and we’re excited to offer this funding to support their important work.”

The 2024-2025 Creative Sector Flex Fund grantees include:

The Creative Sector Flex Fund, now in its second year, is a grant program funded statewide by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency under the Office of the Governor, and administered regionally by Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, PCA’s statewide network of re-granting partners. The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is the PPA Partner for Allegheny, Beaver, Greene, and Washington counties.
