Current weather aside, Front Porch Theatricals is ready to swing into summer, with the announcement of the casts of its two-show season.
First up is Baby, May 16-25, 2025, at the New Hazlett Theater. With music and lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire and a book by Sybille Pearson, Baby examines how three couples in very different situations experience impending parenthood. Baby was nominated for seven Tony Awards in 1984.
Baby will be directed by Kristiann Menotiades, with music director Deana Muro and a cast featuring Allan Snyder, Saige Smith, Becki Toth, Lindsay Bayer, Maria Bechtell, Isabella Corea, Braden Stroppel, David Ieong, Sarah Hennessey and William Forest Smith.
Front Porch’s second show of the summer, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Sunday in the Park With George, August 15-24, 2025, will be directed by Rob James, with music director Camille Rolla.
Also at the 1984 Tony Awards, Sunday in the Park With George had 10 nominations, winning two, for set and lighting design.
The cast includes Smith, Toth and Ieong, as well as Aaron Galligan-Stierle, Daphne Alderson, Favor Buchi, Shawn Doremus. Robert Frankenberry, Ben Nadler, Marnie Quick, Sarah Joyce Reynolds, Christy Rodibaugh, Tommy Sanders, Brad Smoak, Caroline Travers, Matty Thornton and Eleni Elizabeth Josephs.
