
Programming includes Nas, Juneteenth, Fiddlesticks in Your Neighborhood, favorites from the movies, and more..
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) announced its 2025 Summer with the Symphony programs, which include Nas: Illmatic Live with the PSO, a Juneteenth concert at Mellon Park, its free annual Americana concert at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall, Fiddlesticks in Your Neighborhood, and a concert of classical favorites from the movies, Mad About the Movies. These join an existing summer lineup that features The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Marvel’s Infinity Saga Concert Experience, and Joe Hisaishi Conducts the PSO, among others.
“This summer, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has something for everyone,” said Melia Tourangeau, President & CEO, “whether it’s Howard Shore’s unforgettable music in The Lord of the Rings or the rhythms of Nas, to family-friendly favorites like Fiddlesticks in Your Neighborhood and classics from the movies in Mad About the Movies. I invite audiences of all ages and tastes to experience and remember the PSO this summer.”
The Heinz Hall Presents series also announced Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons: The Last Encores at Heinz Hall on July 20, and two rentals: Wilco and TwoSet Violin. Tickets for these are available now. More free summer concerts in the Pittsburgh community will be announced in the coming weeks.
