Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland continues its 2024-2025 Subscription Series, with the musical Anastasia in the MainStage Theater for six performances– Friday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 4th, and Friday, May 9th to Sunday, May 11th.
Inspired by the 20th Century Fox Animation film of the same name, Anastasia transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. Anastasia boasts a memorable score featuring songs such as “Once Upon a December” and the show-stopping “Journey to the Past ” from the Tony Award-winning creative team of Lynn Ahrens and Pittsburgh’s own Stephen Flaherty.
