Vigilance Theater is scaring up another round of spooky Campfire Stories, with the promise of s’mores, singalongs, mysteries and things that lurk in the night.
Campers gather alongside a campfire at Camp Moonside, as counselors compete in the annual Scary Story Competition. Be aware, Vigilance has posed some questions about this gathering, such as:
“What is lurking in the woods? What strange creature did the Groundskeeper warn us about? And where did those other counselors go?”

Led by Brooke Echnat, a resident director for Vigilance Theater Group, the cast includes Bradleigh Bell, Sydney DuBose, Elizabeth Glyptis, Tal Kroser, Allie Lampman-Sims, Isaac Miller and Lani Skellington.
The nights of spooky stories and mysteries are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, September 5-6 and 12-13, 2025. Performances will be held at Camp Guyasuta‘s Campfire Arena. Parking is available on-site, at 300 23rd Street, Sharpsburg; the venue is a 10-minute walk from the parking area (transportation via golf cart is available upon request).
