Pittsburgh Public Theater has revealed the cast and creative team for Noises Off, Michael Frayn’s classic backstage farce, running October 1–19 at the O’Reilly Theater. Directed by Margot Bordelon, acclaimed for her sharp eye for comedy and new work, this production unites Pittsburgh favorites with nationally recognized performers for a high-spirited romp through one of theater’s most beloved comedies.
Celebrated as the ultimate theatrical farce, Noises Off follows a troupe of hapless thespians struggling to stage a play that unravels into pandemonium. With missed cues, slamming doors, backstage squabbles, and romantic mishaps, everything that can go wrong does. The result is a masterclass in timing, slapstick, and comic catastrophe that keeps audiences laughing until the final curtain.
