A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM ARRIVES AT THE BENEDUM

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre closes its season with A Midsummer Night’s Dream May 15–17 at the Benedum Center, featuring the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

Based on William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, the ballet follows the quarrels and reconciliations of Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairies, while two mortal couples find themselves tangled in romance and confusion under the mischievous influence of Puck.

Choreographed by Ben Stevenson, OBE, and set to Felix Mendelssohn’s vibrant and instantly recognizable score, this full-scale production combines classical ballet, live music, and choral performance to bring Shakespeare’s magical world to life.

THEATRE FACTORY LEAVING TRAFFORD FOR NEW KENSINGTON ARTS HUB
