Throughline Theatre, having been on hiatus since March 2020, anticipates its 11th season under the guidance of its new Artistic Director, J. Cody Spellman.
Throughline Theatre has announced that plans for a 2022 season at Carnegie Stage are well underway. J.Cody Spellman, Throughline’s new Artistic Director. Spellman has been working tirelessly with Throughline’s board of directors and company members to return to live performances this year, with the first performance of the season slated to open on July 23 (preview performance on July 22).
The season begins with Arthur Miller‘s 1950s powerhouse drama, A View from the Bridge, the story of a man trying to hold on to his world. A View From The Bridge follows the cataclysmic downfall of Eddie Carbone as his life spirals once his niece falls in love with an undocumented immigrant. As Eddie and his family pursue the “American Dream,” they soon learn about the true price of freedom. Artistic Director J Cody Spellman will be helming Throughline’s returning to the stage from July 23 through August 6.
October will see the return of Throughline’s Steel City Spotlight, focusing on exciting new works, with Teaira Whitehead by Melannie Taylor, directed by Sarah McPartland.
