‘A Man of No Importance’ canceled before finale

By Sharon Eberson

Front Porch Theatricals has had to close A Man of No Importance before its final performances this weekend, due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

The award-winning musical, featuring beautiful performances by Allan Snyder, Dave Toole and Becki Toth and Robyne Parrish directing a wonderful cast, began on May 22 and was supposed to run through Sunday, May 29.

Ticket-holders have been informed via email, and the New Hazlett Theater website informs that the closing is due to “health and safety concerns.”

The musical had been a celebratory comeback from the pandemic shutdown for Front Porch, now in its 10 season. Grand Hotel is next up, due to open Aug. 19.

Wishing the best for cast, crew, musicians and all concerned.
