Pittsburgh CLO Announces ‘tick tick … Boom!’ Musical and R-rated ‘Who’s Holiday!’ Comedy Reopening Greer Cabaret

Do you feel a hint of autumn in the air?

It may be hot as Hadestown outside, but back to school shopping is in high gear, and in the Pittsburgh Cultural District, it’s nearly time to Greer up, too.

Pittsburgh CLO announced a Fall Into Holidays schedule of shows that includes the reopening of the newly renovated Greer Cabaret Theater’s Kara Cabaret Series, beginning September 22-October 22 with Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick… BOOM! and concluding 2023 with Matthew Lombardo’s Who’s Holiday!, December 1-31.

While the latter isn’t your typical Dr. Seuss tale – it’s described as “a raucous and raunchy holiday comedy about Cindy Lou Who, now grown-up and freshly out of jail – a family-oriented holiday tradition continues.

A ghostly visit to the Cratchit family in Pittsburgh CLO’s A Musical Christmas Carol, returning in 2023 for its 32nd year.

Pittsburgh CLO’s A Musical Christmas Carol is back for its 32nd year, at the Byham Theater, December 15-23.“We are excited that we can offer our Pittsburgh CLO ticket-buyers the opportunity to be amongst the first audiences to see shows in the newly renovated Greer Cabaret Theater,” said Mark Fleischer, CLO’s executive producer. “These three shows offer something for everyone.”
