PSIP’s current production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona opened on Saturday, September 1, and continues to play weekends in the city parks. Remaining performances are September 15-16 at Arsenal Park, Lawrenceville and September 22-23 in Frick Park, Squirrel Hill. All performances are free to the public and all performances start at 2:00 pm. Two Gents features Artistic Director Jennifer Tober, along with Charles David (Stoney) Richards, Bob Colbert, Isaiah Jahir Christian, Nick Benninger, Christine MacGrath, Sadie Crow, Elizabeth Farina, Jason Via, and Brett Sullivan Santry, with musicians Andy Cole and Matt Calvett
Select cast members will be present at the Make Merry! celebration and there might even be a surprise performance or two from the group.
There is no ticket price for this event. Nor any dress code. Just come. Raise a glass to Shakespeare, have a nosh, hang out with PSIP board members and actors, buy a raffle ticket, and enjoy! A percentage of the total earnings from food and drink sales during the 6 pm to 9 pm time slot will benefit PSIP and help them keep offering free Shakespeare in the city parks for another year.
And if you can’t make the party this year, you can donate online, mail a donation, host a cocktail party for PSIP or sign up to volunteer. PSIP will also be taking part in the Give Big event on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, so keep your eyes open for information.
